Welcome to May!
I loved the month of May as a kid. May signaled the last days of school and the beginning of Summer vacation. The nearly three months of long warm nights seemed to go on forever because when you’re young time goes by slowly. Now time seems to pass by at supersonic speed. But Summer is still just as wonderful. The only difference is it goes by all too fast!

MAY'S LIMITED EDITION—THE YULIYA DRESS

My guidelines for a perfect summer dress include a dress that does not wrinkle, is lightweight, and machine washable. But color also plays a role in choosing a Summer dress. In addition to all of that it must be is easy-to-wear. The stretch of this printed lace gives the Yuliya a little wiggle room. The silhouette is trim at the torso and full in the sweep of the skirt. The center and side shirring is an added design detail I like to incorporate when I can because the shirring at the torso compliments any body type. The blues and aquas in the print will have you perfectly coordinated to the sunset or shoreline of your vacation destination.
TRAVEL CHIC—RUSSIAN RIVER

If you are looking for an uncomplicated vacation destination to somewhere laid-back and surrounded by raw beauty look no further than Russian River.
Just a 1.5 hour drive from San Francisco is Russian River where you will find exceptional wine tasting, wonderful areas for hiking, rocky beaches, and lots of good comfort food.

BATHING SUITS–IT’S TIME TO BEACH CHIC

Bathing suit shopping is never greeted with the same enthusiasm as grabbing a cocktail with a friend. Why? It’s complicated. Notwithstanding our personal opinion of our prevailing physical state, the dreaded dressing room experience is maddening. Bad lighting, sizing issues, and the current trends in bathing suits can leave us in a funk.
TRAVELING TO THE FRENCH ALPS FOR AN IMPORTANT SKI LESSON

I must confess, initially, I did not want to go—I know, unbelievable! Here’s the thing; I don’t ski.
The last time I did the conditions were so frightful that more people than I can count found their way to the bottom of the run via a rescue toboggan. That was my cue to walk away from ever skiing again. I convinced myself that skiing was far too dangerous and I would never gracefully survive an injury.
Eat well,laugh a lot, & be chic!
