Rhonda Owen
  Congratulations Rhonda Owen

We asked Rhonda what motivated her .....

She replied: The biggest motivation for me is how good I feel both physically and mentally. I lead a fairly active lifestyle and the energy/strength boost I get from my workouts helps to energize me for for my busy day ahead. I live on an acreage and there always seems to be something that needs  to be done. I feel better equipped to handle the tasks and there are many that require some degree of "physical" intervention.

Q: Why did you start with a trainer and why do you continue?

A: I started working with a trainer because I needed some direction with goal setting I realize the benefits of being challenged and pushed "just enough"; not to mention the numerous health benefits for woman of my age category.  Christine has always been a great supporter and has helped me recover from a few physical setbacks over the course of our 3+ year journey together. She is dedicated and I enjoy seeing her smiling face each mourning I arrive at the Gym.

Q: Favorite Exercise?

A: Had to think hard about this one! T he Rope!!

Q: Least favorite Exercise

A: Push-ups...they never seem to get easier

WHY A PERSONAL TRAINER?

Great question!

I wanted to uncover some of the intrigue and mystery that makes a personal trainer do what they do! It can be a very tough profession; but if you get it right it can be one of the most rewarding careers ever!!

This is what Christine Mcleod and Tracy Winger had to say about being a Personal Trainer. These two dedicated trainers are the owners of Tri Fit Training, they are very skilled and capable at what they do.

So I asked them why they chose this career?

They both had very similar answers and attitudes toward their profession. The experience they get out of training their clients is different to what we experience. They find it not only rewarding but they are always learning new things  along the way.The focus is always the client, what are their goals, what are they wanting out of the sessions, what do they need from the trainer, what are their limitations, they look at each client individually. No two are the same. They are very social , your trainer could be a close friend, they give you honesty, and they try ways to solve problems you may face day to day,  They have fun! But they also make you accountable to your workout regime and your nutrition.

Take it from me, I've had a trainer for over 5 years now, she brought me out of the depths of hell, and made me realize; I was important and I mattered. She cared, yes she pushed me and made me  do things that I thought were impossible. But I did them willingly, because my trainer instills a sense of "I got this" in my mind and body.

If you are thinking about hiring a personal trainer to guide you, do it!  Don't waste another moment! Go sign up , it is well worth it. They have nothing but your best interest at heart. They want YOU to succeed!

WELCOME KATRINA TO

TRI FIT TRAINING

Hi! I'm Katrina!

I moved to Airdrie from Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan about a year and a half ago to attend the Elevated Learning Academy for my Applied Nutrition Sciences Diploma in Calgary. After attaining my diploma, I decided to stay in Airdrie and I am thoroughly enjoying the energy this city provides! I received my Personal Training and Group Fitness Training Certification through the American Council of Exercise back in 2013, and have been training men and women of all ages throughout the last 4 years.

I love teaching Boot camps, Spin Classes, and taking one on one clients; but I also enjoy my own free time as well. Whenever I can, I try to make it to the mountains for a nice hike, or bike ride. I enjoy team sports such as ultimate Frisbee, softball, or beach volleyball. I also try to travel whenever possible, and I have been to a number of countries ranging from Europe to Thailand. I believe life is all about living an 80/20 lifestyle. I am so excited to be a part of Tri Fit, and I can't wait to meet all of you!

Eat well, get sweaty!

Katrina
