Richard Ray: Director of Missions - Weekly Update

This past week, started out with the first of many
DOM/Pastor Luncheons as we gather together to be encouraged through fellowship. We had a wonderful turnout as we met in Copperas Cove. I was able to share updated Tri-Rivers news and we spent time listening and praying for one another. I am looking forward to these future gatherings. We have been busy assisting churches as they begin to seek out a pastor and or music ministers for their church.
Don't forget to sign up for our next workshop for Church Safety on Saturday, February 24 at the Tri-Rivers Retreat Center. Here you can send members of your church to receive certification in Basic Life Support/AED and License to Carry. We will also be offering informational courses on Active Shooter Neuralization, Surveillance Equipment for Churches, along with providing Background Checks and Child Sexual Awareness Training. To register, continue to scroll down and select Church Safety Workshop Registration.
This Sunday, I will be preaching at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. On Monday, I will be traveling to Orange, TX to serve and check on the Tri-Rivers Laundry Unit.
As of today, the registration link to the Tri-Rivers Pre-Teen and Youth Camps will be active. You will find the link in this newsletter. If you have students that you would like to send, please register early as space is limited.
Until next week, "If you are a stranger to prayer, you are a stranger to the greatest source of power known to human beings." - Billy Sunday

Between Belief and Unbelief

Chuckle: "Give me a sentence about a public servant," said a teacher. The small boy wrote: "The fireman came down the ladder pregnant." The teacher took the lad aside to correct him. "Don't you know what pregnant means?" she asked. "Sure," said the boy confidently. "It means carrying a child."
Quote: "There is nothing that can help you understand your beliefs more than trying to explain them to an inquisitor." --Frank Clark

Immediately the boy's father exclaimed, "I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!"(Mark 9:24 NIV).
I'm sure there have been times when you needed God to meet a need in your life -- when you knew God had done similar miracles as recorded in the Bible, but somehow you just couldn't quite believe He would do it in your case. Have you prayed for God to do a certain thing, but you really couldn't believe God would do what you asked? Quite often there is a big difference between our believing God can do something and believing He will do something.

Would you like to be apart of Celebrate Recovery?
Would your church like to host a Celebrate Recovery Program?
Are you in need of Celebrate Recovery?

Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered program with foundations firmly established in Biblical truth. The 12 Steps with accompanying Scriptures and the 8 Principles based on the Beatitudes offer participants a clear path of salvation and discipleship; bringing hope, freedom, sobriety, healing, and the opportunity to give back one day at a time through our one and only true Higher Power, Jesus Christ.  The 12 Steps and the 8 Principles work seamlessly together, tying historical recovery to timeless Biblical teaching.
