As the Zika Virus emerges as an imminent public health threat to Tribal communities and families in specific regions of the United States, the National Indian Health Board (NIHB) seeks to assist with capacity building and prevention planning to target this issue.
The Zika Virus is especially concerning for expectant mothers and their fetuses. To target this serious health issue, the NIHB is striving to share information and resources including support for Tribal-specific mitigation strategies.
We invite you to join one of our upcoming summits to obtain information for addressing and preventing the Zika virus. Participants can expect opportunities for peer-to-peer sharing, as well as information on action planning, State-Tribal relations for addressing infectious diseases and public health emergencies, the US Zika Pregnancy Registry, and other timely Zika-related topics to be announced soon.
