Sign up for BB Gun League 6-7 p.m. Oct. 26 at Admiral Coontz Recreation Center
Hannibal Area Shooter's Education Youth BB Gun league begins Thursday, Nov. 2 at the Admiral Coontz Recreational Center.
The class is 6-9 p.m, Thursday through Feb. 22. The free class is a firearm safety awareness class for children ages 8-18. Topics include ethics, sportsmanship, fundamentals for firing a gun, ammunition knowledge and safe gun handling, wildlife management and animal identification. This is not a hunter certification course.

Night Hike through
Sodalis Nature Preserve
6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27
Meet at the parking lot of Sodalis Nature Preserve, where we will hike up to the bat caves, exploring nature signs along the way. Pause for a story at the top, then return in the dark with sensory awareness activities.
The hike will be on paved paths - about 2 miles.

Want to FALL in Love with Bats this Halloween?
Come by the Sodalis Nature Preserve amphitheater (at the top of the hill) 6-8 p.m. Friday Oct. 27 and learn all about Missouri bats. The latest technology will help you see bats exiting the quarries at dusk! Kirsten Alvey-Mudd, who discovered the bats at Sodalis, will be there to answer questions and give spooky bat facts!

Join us for a Pumpkin Decorating Contest and Exhibit! Walk along the pumpkin path and vote for your favorites!
All pumpkins must be pre-decorated and at Nipper Park between 2 and 3 p.m. Pumpkins can be decorated with paint, glitter, markers, etc., but cannot be carved

Huckleberry Park
Born Learning Trail
is an interactive series of 10 outdoor games around Huckleberry Park playground. There are several new pieces of all-inclusive playground equipment, including two handicap-accessible swings and musical instruments at Huckleberry Park playground.
