Financial Aid Application: Due February 28th
This message is applicable for any families that would like to apply for tuition assistance (financial aid) for the 2018-2019 academic year.

We will continue to use 'School and Student Services' (SSS), a third-party processor for collection information and determining tuition assistance (financial aid) awards. SSS is a program of the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS).

In order to apply for tuition assistance for next year, you must fill out the Parent Financial Statement (PFS) found at the website for NAIS/School and Student Services: The starting point is to consult the document " SSS How to Apply for Financial Aid" which walks you through an overview of the process. If you need more in depth explanation, consult the " PFS Workbook Guide".

We will communicate our financial aid decision to you by late March. To make our decisions, we will use the information from the PFS as a starting point and then consider our school practices and available budget for next year.

Please contact Liz Cole in the business office if you have any questions. 503-567-9559 ext. 101

We are happy to announce that this Spring we will be taking the 6th and 7th grade students to Outdoor School! Mr. Tomassi has been researching outdoor school locations, and we are very excited to be able to work with OMSI this year. We will go to an OMSI outdoor school program at the Hancock Field Station near Fossil, Oregon. The field station is situated in the John Day Fossil Beds National Monument. As the name suggests, this area is an important paleontological site, and we will have the opportunity to dig for fossils there and study geology, ecology and many other things. We'll also be able to do some observational astronomy with the telescopes on-site, hike in the National Monument, and of course, sit around the fire eating s'mores.

The dates of Outdoor School are March 21-23, 2018. We will leave early on the morning of Wednesday, March 21st (it will be a long drive!) and be back around dinner time on Friday, March 23rd. Dr. Clark and Mr. Tomassi will be chaperoning this trip. More details to come!

Message from Athletic Director, Sybil Hernandez:
We are super excited about the possibility of having a high school track team this year at Trinity. We currently have around 8–10 high school students that have said they'd want to participate. We also have two parents that have said they could help assist a team, but would not be able to take on the roll of head coach.

I am reaching out to our community to see if any of you would be interested in coaching our first ever track team going at Trinity this year? If you personally do not, do you know of any friends, family, co-workers, college students, etc. that would possibly be interested in helping us?

If you or anyone you know think you may be interested in coaching or at least want some more information, please let me know ASAP. We need to have a commitment by the end of next week at the latest. Let's make this team a reality for our Trinity students! Go Thunder!
Support Trinity by Shopping at Fred Meyer!
Fred Meyers is now supporting Trinity Academy with every Reward card that is linked to Trinity! The Fred Meyer Community Rewards program gives donations to local charities. Click on the button below to link your Fred Meyer rewards card to Trinity Academy! (You may need to create an online Fred Meyer account if you haven't done so previously.)  Keri Canfield is heading up this effort and would love to answer any questions you may have! We had only 7 participants the last quarter of 2017, but still earned $39.74. Just think of the dividends Trinity would receive with 50 participants! Please pass this along to loving grandparents and friends, too! More details about this program can be found on this  brochure. Click on the logo below to sign up!
Amazon Smile Program
Trinity Academy is listed on   Amazon Smile.  Money raised through this program helps cover costs of some of the extra events and fun we have around school! If you need help getting this to work, contact  Beth Kabele and she will be happy to walk you through the steps.
"What is Amazon Smile?", you say. It is a charitable work of Amazon that will give Trinity Academy a percentage of each purchase you make on Amazon through the Amazon Smile page.
What you need to do:
  1. CLICK on the button below which takes you to Trinity's Amazon Smile page OR you can go to and search for Trinity Academy by name (Trinity Academy, The People of Praise Vancouver). Assign Trinity Academy as your charity of choice.
  2. Make your purchases.
  3. Remember to bookmark Amazon Smile, so the next time you shop on Amazon, it starts on the Amazon Smile landing page.
  4. After you assign Trinity Academy as your charity, your Amazon account will remember your selected charity. No need to return to the link, or do anything special. Just start with "smile"!
  5. A hint: When I go shopping on amazon now, I just type "smile" in the browser on any of my personal computers/devices and it takes me right to my Amazon smile account that is linked to Trinity Academy.
  6. Pass this link on to all your family members so they can support Trinity Academy!
