E-Notes from Water's Edge
is a non-traditional service at First United Methodist Church in Mission Valley, San Diego. We meet in the "Cove" (directions) every Sunday, 9:30 AM under the leadership of Dr. Elbert Kim and the live Water's Edge band, led by Chris Durrand.

Water
Trinity Sunday...

As we enter the season after Pentecost, we observe this Sunday how God relates to us in so many ways. God is almighty and transcendent, yet so close and personal.

God is the author of life and the creator of the universe, but still reached out to us through Jesus Christ and continues to nudge our hearts through the Holy Spirit.

We celebrate the Trinity this Sunday as well lift up moments in our lives that God has been there for us when we least expected.

We are mindful of God's faithfulness and continue to pray for those in Oklahoma. We will be celebrating God's call in our lives and commission one of our own, Brooke Collins, as she prepares to be our missionary to Zimbabwe and to Costa Rica in the coming weeks.

Come join us Sunday as we witness to God's power and presence in all of our lives.

Blessings,
Pastor Elbert

Happy Birthday to all the May babies!

Even if you never had a birthday after 25, we hope you stay, meet and mingle with new and old friends after the worship this Sunday!

Every 4th Sunday of the month, our Water's Edge community is celebrating all the birthdays of the month in the Cove, with cake, coffee and song!

Last week was Potluck Sunday at Water's Edge...
...every third Sunday, not to be missed!

Carol brought in some wonderful gladiolus from her garden and WE also got to welcome a new member! Our photographer Fred snapped some pictures of some of you.
See the rest of them here...

W.E. Can
Always - Remember to bring cans of food!

W.E. CAN

One of the goals for the Water's Edge Congregation this year is to support our
First Church Food Ministry: Loaves and Fishes. Besides canned food items, milk, eggs, and bread are always welcome. You may leave your donations in The Cove, or in Linder Hall.

Our service is low-key, non-traditional with weekly communion, open to everyone.
The band plays original Christian and traditional praise music. And it's ok to applaud.
