Prayer Vigil this Saturday at 9:30 AM in the Sanctuary
We will gather for prayer as God's people and Trinity Family. Hymns, a few words, and a call to pray will be given. Our prayers will rise to God in our Sanctuary (God's) and from our hearts thereafter. We will pray for our ongoing Call process and for the success of Trinity Resurrection. It will be a faith-filled and inspiring time together.  The Vigil is the beginning of what will continue. Our prayer time on Saturday will be approximately one hour. It will be a time of great community and binding together.  The Elders Minstry Team will also inform us how we might "pray forward" into the future.

Session # 5 of "Foundations" takes place this Saturday at 4 PM in the Fellowship Hall! Come ready to be amazed at the beauty and power of the Sacrament of Holy Communion. The Lord's Supper is intimately connected to the Passover of the Exodus history. We will be reading and discussing that great event of the salvation of God's ancient people Israel. It is said, rightly so, that the Exodus is THE great intervention of God in the lives of His oppressed people. It brought new life and hope and salvation to Israel. In like manner, the Lord's Supper, which is closely connected to the Passover of old, gives us new life and hope and salvation!

Bring your bibles and your copy of the Catechism. Get ready to be amazed!  I am looking forward to it. If you have not been to this Foundations event, come join us for this Holy Communion discussion! It's a happy throng! 4PM in the Fellowship Hall. Light refreshments and good fellowship!

Trinity Resurrection!
Thanks to our dear brother Ted Lange, our congregational President, for the fine presentation of last Sunday. Trinity "Resurrection" has been rolled out. It is an attempt on the part of all of us to be faithful in our stewardship and do to "above and beyond" as God gives us the ability to come to the aid of our great Trinity. Please consider making an extra and meaningful gift so that we can rid ourselves once and for all (!) the rehabilitating problem of lower than needed revenue and a severe cash flow situation. Watch for updates. And please participate to the best of your ability.

"Trinity Resurrection" points to Victory and a solution. Your efforts through February 5th have resulted in cash received totalling $21 thousand and pledges of over $30 thousand.  Thank you.  Please pray for this effort!

Worship this weekend
"Lord be merciful to me a sinner." This theme gives us an insight as it speaks to us about our sinfulness and God's mercy. We really don't need anyone to tell us about the former, that is our sinfulness. We are well acquainted with that! But we can never hear enough about God's mercy to us. The Scriptures will remind us of God's will for our lives, and then give us "power" to lives as God desires. It is through Christ, of course! I am looking forward to being with you. Let's fill God's house!

Trinity Support for IDignity
This is OUR month to intentionally sponsor IDignity with a $400 collection needed for volunteer lunch.  All volunteer spots for this Thursday's event are filled, which means there will be approximately 100 people anxious to take a break for lunch.  Subway will supply the food items, we just need to pay for it!    -Every month since May 2008, IDignity has served the Orlando community by helping people navigate the complicated system for obtaining an identification card that complies with the Federal REAL ID Act. Please consider becoming a regular donor to help with the cost of "personhood" and dignity:
  • $16 per month to sponsor 1 client (about 50ยข per day)
  • $32 per month to sponsor a couple
  • $64 per month to sponsor a family of 4
  • $128 per month to sponsor 8 clients
  • $266 per month to sponsor 16 clients

i-Neighborhood Workshop
i-Neighborhood is a training and equipping opportunity that teaches Christians how to be a blessing to our neighbors and to the communities of which we are a part. You may recall that District Missions Exec. Doug Kallesen presented part of this program to us last year, introducing Trinity to the B.L.E.S.S. model).  This i-neighborhood workshop focuses on practical tools for individuals to be in ministry every day - this extends the reach of THE CHURCH exponentially! Bruce Jaeger, creator of i-Neighborhood, will be at Prince of Peace on Saturday, February 18 from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm to facilitate this empowering workshop. POP has invited YOU to attend.  Registration is required.  Forms are in the narthex, or you can contact POP directly at (407) 277-3945 .  This is a fantastic opportunity for our ENTIRE CONGREGATION - for all those interested in missional living and outreach. Please consider participating.

OWLS (Older-Wiser-Lutherans) Fellowship
Let's have lunch at High Tide Harry's on Friday, February 24th at 11:30.  It's located at 4645 S. Semoran Blvd, Orlando.  PLEASE call Audrey or Bob Gordon 407-897-1418 or e-mail to confirm attendance. Looking forward to seeing you!

Want to Share the Gospel with Kids in Poland this Summer?
LCMS is currently seeking out people who love Jesus and can help teach an English Bible Camp (similar to a VBS) in Poland this summer.  Does that sound like you? There are ten congregations there ready to reach out with the Gospel to the children of their neighborhoods. Most of these children do not know the Good News of Jesus, and through these camps, they learn about Jesus, and in turn, tell their parents. The local Lutheran congregation can follow up with these families after the camp is done. These camps make a lasting difference in these communities! Needed: teams of 5 to serve July 18-31 or August 1-14, 2017. Teams can come from one congregation, or individuals can apply and be placed on a team.  Team members raise support to cover the cost of the trip, which is about $1100 and includes all costs while in Poland.
Read more about this opportunity from those who have served here:
This opportunity is not limited to those who have formal teaching experience, so please invite a friend!  For more info contact Anne Gonzalez, DCE, Manager, Short-term Mission Training & Engagement, LCMS, 314-996-1649

Box Tops Goal $2000
We are well underway to meeting our goal for the 2016/2017 school year - which is $500 higher than last year!  We can do it, but only with YOUR HELP! Please remember to cut those box tops and bring them to a school office or the dropbox in the Narthex.   Remember...It's free and only takes a few seconds to clip !  This is a great way to help earn money for Trinity' school ministry!  We have currently collected a grand total of $9517.49 since we began this program.
Keep it  going!  Every little bit helps! If you have any questions, please contact Stacy Walters @

Urgent Prayer Requests
If you have an urgent prayer request that can't wait until you fill out a yellow prayer card during worship, please submit it via email to .  While submitting a yellow card during worship is still the preferred way to share prayer requests, sometimes a prayer need can't wait until Sunday.  Your prayer request (first name and basic details of the prayer requested) will be shared with a team of committed weekday prayer warriors and will also be added to Trinity's regular printed prayer list for the congregation.  All prayers are kept on the printed list for a period of three weeks, so please resubmit long term prayer needs regularly so that they stay on the printed list. Thank you.

Invest with LCEF and Save Trinity money!
If you haven't already, please consider opening an LCEF savings account.  The more investors mean the higher the rebate check will be next year.  Savings account investments start as low as $25 for children under 18 and $100 for adults.   If your child is new to Trinity Lutheran School in either the CDC or K-8 programs Trinity will donate $25 to start the account.  Adult investment accounts with LCEF benefit Trinity in the same way the Youth Investor accounts do, so parents and church members, you can participate as well!  You can apply online at .  For more information, please contact Bruce Hahn at 407-701-3234 or email .

Please let us know!
Please let your Trinity family know of any scheduled surgery or hospital stay.   In addition to scheduled procedures, please give the church office a call to let us know about extended illness, unplanned hospital stays, or even the birth of a child.  You can call the office at any time and leave a message-no need to wait until business hours (407-488-1919 x100).  During business hours, that information can then be forwarded to the appropriate caregivers.  For an emergency that requires the care of a Pastor after hours or over the weekend, there is an option on our auto-attendant to dial 9 for immediate assistance (listen to the entire message).  We want to be sure to know when you need us-whether to pray with you before a scheduled procedure, sit with you during a loved one's procedure, pray for you while you recover, visit you in the hospital/at home or to share praise and thanksgiving prayers for good news/results.    Just let us know.  Thank you.
