Welcoming New Members
We're welcoming new members this Sunday during 11am worship. Please plan to stay for a few minutes after worship to enjoy some refreshments and meet some new people in the Trinity family!  Check your Trinity Weekly online for photos! Welcome to the MacMillan Family (Paul & Jennifer, Zach and Shannen), Brittany & Paul Schetzle (and a new baby Schetzle any day now), Tom & Roseann White (picture coming soon), April & Corey Smith and their son, Andrea Girod (Mauro & Paula) and Maria Ballesteros! Thanks to everyone who participated in the Foundations Class alongside a group of friends, neighbors, staff and incoming members. This group had a great time getting to know one another and growing in their faith together!  We'd love to see YOU at the next one coming in the FALL.

We Are Called to Reach Vulnerable Children with the Gospel
This weekend in church you'll see a video from LifeLine Children's Services.  It's a powerful message that reminds us that we, as the hands and feet of Christ here in our community, are called to reach vulnerable children with the Gospel. Trinity has recently established an Adoption and Foster Care Ministry Team to begin talking about how it is that we, as a church family, can minister to children in need - not just through adoption or foster care, but also, by supporting families who care for adopted and foster children. Not everyone is called to adopt or foster, but some are called to tutor, to cook, to help with transportation, to mentor, to host community groups or respite opportunities.

Lifeline Children's Services has made a commitment to partner with Trinity to explore those options and work with our AFC Ministry Team to discover and then create a plan to minister to the needs of vulnerable children and their families. If you're interested in learning more about adoption or foster care, or about supporting adoption/foster families, please join us on Tuesday, July 10 at 6:30pm in the middle loggia (hallway) classroom. Light refreshments will be served. During the first 45 minutes, we will share information about adoption options, what a home study is, what the process looks like, how long it takes, how much it costs, how to fund an adoption, and more. Then we will spend the rest of the time answering any questions you might have and exploring options for reaching out!  If you - or anyone you know - might be interested, we'd love to see you there! All are welcome! Questions? Contact Kelley Lane at skyblu@bellsouth.net

Fun for all ages, and all are welcome.Hope you'll join us - and bring someone new. Please RSVP to TLC@TrinityDowntown.com or 407-488-1919 x101 by July 16 so we know how much food to prepare.

New Adult Bible Study Series on Sundays at 9:30 am
This is a great time to jump in to check out the 9:30 Bible Study group! A new series starts this weekend called, "Blessings in Disguise." It will be the basis for discussion in the group for the next four weeks (July 8 through July 29). Trinity Elder Tony Ramiz will lead the discussion, based on passages from Matthew 5-7 and Luke 6.  Although Jesus' Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7) is well known, His Sermon on the Plain (Luke 6) packs a powerful message too. Not as well known, this sermon of Jesus is just as challenging to Jesus' followers and every bit as comforting. Unique to our Lord's sermon in Luke, His four beatitudes ("blessings") are paired with four jolting condemnations ("woes"). The four sessions of this insight course follow this built-in outline. Used as a tool to dig into Scripture itself, this series can help today's Christian find Christ's power and encouragement in His Word, especially at times when the cross of discipleship grows heavy and is full of splinters. This adult Bible study groups meets in Fellowship Hall.

Strength & Flexibility Class
You're welcome to join us on the first and third Mondays of each month for a fitness class at 6:30pm (new start time) in Fellowship Hall. Email Beth @ baschu4@bellsouth.net  to confirm you're coming. Class starts at 6:30pm, please arrive by 6:20pm. Thank you! Bring With You an exercise mat (and block if you have), $5, Comfy clothes, smile and enthusiasm!

Special Voters Meeting Moved to July 29
The Campus Development Task Force received Project Costing data information from our Ministry partners at Foundry Commercial which was then shared within the Task Force members and the Leadership Council for review and comments. Follow-up meetings with Foundry Commercial on Tuesday, July 3, and also with LCEF on Thursday, July 5.  Following those meetings, it was determined that an additional two weeks is needed to get all the details in place for presenting to the Congregation, and so the Special Voters meeting is scheduled for Sunday, July 29 .  At that time, the CDTF will present to the Congregation the motion to consider petitioning LCEF for an improvement loan to fund the project work identified for Trinity.  The Voters' Meeting will be called to order at 12:15 P.M., or the conclusion of the 11:00 A.M. Worship, whichever comes first. So please mark your calendars, and date books to participate in this Special Voters' Assembly Meeting, for Sunday  - July 29 at 12:15 P.M. Blessings to all, Rocky Smothers -Campus Develop Task Force Chairman

Summer Sunday School Passport Adventures
Check the Narthex (lobby area of Sanctuary) for your child's Summer Sunday School Passport Adventure where each weekend, you can pick up your booklet, complete the learning activity during worship, and receive a stamp at the end of the service from the ushers in the narthex.  Children can earn prizes for their stamps which will be awarded at the Fall "Rally Day Sunday" after the 2018-2019 school year begins (date TBA). These passport booklets will hopefully encourage our families to worship together while giving the children something to do to help focus their attention on the worship service. If your family visits another church on vacation, please bring in the church bulletin and your child will receive a stamp for that Sunday.

Box Tops
Please remember to cut those box tops and bring them to church during the summer  months. We would love to get a jump start for the 2018/2019 school year!

Urgent Prayer Requests
If you have an urgent prayer request that can't wait until you fill out a yellow prayer card during worship, please submit it via email to Pray@TrinityDowntown.com .  While submitting a yellow card during worship is still the preferred way to share prayer requests, sometimes a prayer need can't wait until Sunday.  Your prayer request (first name and basic details of the prayer requested) will be shared with a team of committed weekday prayer warriors and will also be added to Trinity's regular printed prayer list for the congregation.  All prayers are kept on the printed list for a period of three weeks, so please resubmit long term prayer needs regularly so that they stay on the printed list. Thank you.
