Trinity Game Night
Trinity's Game Night in July was such a fun event for all who attended that another is planned for Friday, September 14th , from 6-8pm in the Fellowship Hall. Bring your own fast food dinner, packed dinner from home, or eat before you arrive; drinks and dessert will be provided. Once again we will all be treated to a short hands-on devotion, and several Minute-To-Win-It games for young and old alike. Bingo will be available with simple prizes. Games will be on hand, but you are welcome to bring your favorites from home as well.

How are YOU Gifted - Where Can YOU Serve
Trinity's children's and youth Sunday morning Bible classes have started out on such a positive note. We've had over 30 in attendance and everyone seems very energized as they gather together to learn about our Savior. In order to keep our promise of having flexibility for our teachers, we still need to find three more teachers for this quarter: VPK-Kindergarten, 1st-2nd Grade, and Youth Bible class. If we are able to form teams of three teachers per class, then each teacher will have an assistant on most of the Sundays that they teach, plus they will be able to take a Sunday off for family events or travel. Remember that we do have training available. If you enjoy sharing the Word of God (and you don't have to be a theologian to do this) and are invested in seeing that the next generations know about the real presence of a loving God in their lives, then this ministry might be just for you.  Please contact Julia Malenke if you have any questions or if you would like to volunteer to teach:

Everyone is invited to participate in SERVANT SATURDAY at Rebecca's Garden of Hope (RGOH) at Our Savior Lutheran on Saturday, September 22, from 9a-1p, or anything period of time in between that you are available to help!  Teams of volunteers will be working on different areas of need in the program's double-wide trailer that houses a tutoring and technology lab for at risk children in our community! Rebecca's Garden is a Recognized Service Organization (RSO) of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS) and serves the needs of local at-risk children by providing opportunities for tutoring (and sometimes meals too), as well as loving connections with mentors and their local church. Trinity volunteers serve there once a month to tutor, and saw a need to offer support through a SERVANT SATURDAY project where Trinity volunteers go out in service to meet a need in our community. We have a Thrivent Action Team grant of $250 to help with some small purchases to spruce things up, but will also need volunteers to bring cleaning supplies and various tools. Volunteer needs include those who can help with:
  • interior cleaning (need windex, surface cleanser, paper towels, handi wipes, restroom cleaners, sponges, carpet cleaner)
  • interior sorting/organizing
  • Interior decorating/installation (new bathroom supplies will be provided, curtains needed, details from Terry)
  • Interior minor repairs and installations (bring hammers, nails, screws, drills)
  • Moving furniture and boxes around (strong arms and backs!)
  • exterior weeding (bring gloves, bags, hand held clippers etc)
  • exterior pressure washing (cleaning solution needed)
Please contact Terry Boggs at to sign up and indicate where you'd like to serve and what supplies you are able to bring with you!  We need a large team to get a lot done in just a few hours, so please mark your calendars and let us know you're coming! THANK YOU.

Food and Funds on the Fifth
Trinity collects donated food funds on every fifth Sunday -- food donations are given to local ministries, and funds go to the Pastor's discretionary fund to assist those in financial crisis. September has five Sundays, so start collecting BOGOs for the September 29/30 collection. This month's recipient of food donations will be The Good Samaritans.

Rebecca's Garden of Hope - September 26 Tutoring and Meal
Every fourth Wednesday, Trinity is signed up to tutor and provide a hot meal.  There are six (or more) regular Trinity volunteers on hand for tutoring are additional opportunities are available to participate by preparing/providing a portion of the meal for that evening.   You can just drop off your dish at Trinity's Magnolia building and a volunteer will even deliver it to Our Savior for you. Please let us know!
Please let your Trinity family know of any scheduled surgery or hospital stay.  In addition to scheduled procedures, please give the church office a call to let us know about extended illness, unplanned hospital stays, or even the birth of a child.  You can call the office at any time and leave a message-no need to wait until business hours (407-488-1919 x101). During business hours, that information can then be forwarded to the appropriate caregivers.  For an emergency that requires the care of a Pastor after hours or over the weekend call or text us at 407-490-7339 and leave a message. We'll get back to you ASAP. We want to be sure to know when you need us-whether to pray with you before a scheduled procedure, sit with you during a loved one's procedure, pray for you while you recover, visit you in the hospital/at home or to share praise and thanksgiving prayers for good news/results. Just let us know.  Thank you.

Strength & Flexibility
You're welcome to join us on the first and third Mondays of each month for a fitness class at 6:30pm (new start time) in Fellowship Hall. Email Beth at to confirm you're coming. Class starts at 6:30 pm, please arrive by 6:20 pm. Thank you! Bring With You : an exercise mat (and block if you have), $5, Comfy clothes, smile and enthusiasm!

Urgent Prayer Requests
If you have an urgent prayer request that can't wait until you fill out a yellow prayer card during worship, please submit it via email to .  While submitting a yellow card during worship is still the preferred way to share prayer requests, sometimes a prayer need can't wait until Sunday.  Your prayer request (first name and basic details of the prayer requested) will be shared with a team of committed weekday prayer warriors and will also be added to Trinity's regular printed prayer list for the congregation.  All prayers are kept on the printed list for a period of three weeks, so please resubmit long term prayer needs regularly so that they stay on the printed list. Thank you.
