Your Weekly News & Updates
The flowers that make Trinity especially beautiful during Easter worship are provided by members of our Trinity family who wish to remember loved ones, or simply express special thanks to God. The names of contributors and people remembered will be published the first weekend after Easter. Sign up forms are in the Narthex - return to offering plate or church office. (Suggested donation of $12 each)
Comfort Dog Ministry
In preparation for receiving our Comfort Dog, the Comfort Dog "Puppy Shower" Project begins April 1! Beginning on Easter weekend you will find an umbrella in the Narthex and school offices with items listed on dog bones and raindrops with a website address for online shopping on Amazon.com. Everyone will have a choice if they want to buy online from Amazon and have the item shipped directly to Trinity, or take a bone and go to a store and buy the shower gift and return the item to a box by the umbrella. Collections will take place for two weeks and on April 15 the Comfort Dog Ministry Team will host a Puppy Shower Luncheon at 12:30 that to show their appreciation for your support! We'll ask Pastor Doug to bless all of the donated puppy supplies and we'll share a meal together! Let's get ready for the launch of our Comfort Dog Ministry and share in an afternoon of fellowship at lunch on the 15th.
LWML Lutheran Women's Missionary League has received a gift from another LWML quilting group that has disbanded. The top was sewn by a former 2nd grade teacher here at Trinity, Mrs. Kay Retzlaff. The quilt measures 73" x 89" and fits a full bed. It is hand quilted out of new material and reverses to a chocolate brown with a medium weight polyester fill and fully washable. We will take silent bids for 4 weeks starting now and ending April 17, 2018. Each week this newsletter will report the current bid, starting at $75 in increments of $5. Whatever final bid the quilt brings will be divided in half, and distributed in equal halves to support Trinity's K-8 scholarship fund, and half to the LWML treasury. If you wish to bid, you can email MaryLou Evanchyk at email@example.com or call at 407/491-4452 and leave a message. THANK YOU!
Thank you - from the PTL of Trinity Lutheran School
We just wanted to send out a thanks and our warmest appreciation to all of our Church volunteers, School volunteers and Trinity Staff members who helped make our annual Touch-a-Truck event a success. We certainly could not have had such a successful event without all of YOUR support! The smiling faces, honking horns and squeals of delight were proof that all the time and effort you put in was loved! Children and parents enjoyed the event and all we offered! In addition to raising over $4,500 for Trinity's PTL for the benefit of Trinity Lutheran School, we also were able to connect with many families in the Central Florida area and let them know what Trinity Downtown is all about. We look forward to many more successful events where we can bring our Church, School and Community together.
Thank you again! Trinity Lutheran School's Touch-a-Truck Committee and PTL Board

Let's show some love! Take Them a Meal
Trinity teen Zach M. has had heart surgery and is homebound to stay away from flu germs as he recovers. During this time, in the midst of lots of doctors appointments and extra bills to pay, we'd love to rally the Trinity family to help out with meals to show a little love and care to the family - a family of four. We've set up a "Take them a Meal" site to allow for scheduling of meal drop offs and even the option to have something in their area delivered to them. Please note: Zach has a severe nut allergy (no nuts or nut oils in the food please). The link to sign up is
