Our country's politics are more polarized than most of us have ever seen them. For many Americans, any candidate on "their team" is automatically better than any candidate on the other team.

I have not been in politics very long, but I have tried to do my part to break the grip that partisanship has on our politics. I have worked to represent the entire South Bay, to engage with all residents and all communities and to treat people with respect whether they agree with me or not. I am not afraid to say no as a legislator, but I am not afraid to say yes either.

I am proud - and grateful - that my efforts have borne fruit and earned the endorsement of South Bay leaders from across the political spectrum.
