CONGRATULATIONS CLASS OF 2018!
Commencement is June 16-17, 2018. Plan ahead and review information about the All Campus Commencement, the Colleges Commencement and details about parking and transportation.
MOVING YOUR STUDENT OUT FOR THE SUMMER
Residence Halls and Apartments close for the summer June 16th at 6 p.m.

Students must move out 24 hours after the last final or by June 16th. Move out day is the same day as Commencement Ceremonies making the campus extremely busy. Students living on campus have been informed about the Move Out procedure. Still, strongly consider the following tips for a more manageable move out experience:
  • Students are to login to their Housing Portal for information about the process of moving out of the residence halls.
  • Students can request move out parking passes to park and load their vehicle. Talk with your student about this pass.
  • If your student is local to San Diego, move things out in increments starting now.
  • Students living out of state or internationally should consider renting a storage facility to begin moving items or consider mailing items home ahead of time.
  • Students should start researching and securing a storage location so they can prepare and arrange for transportation to and from the storage unit.
  • Encourage your student to participate in the Residence Move Out Zero Waste Drive.
  • Prior to finals, students should sit down with their roommates to negotiate who is cleaning what. The last person leaving should not be left cleaning everything.
  • Some of the colleges have listed move out procedures on their website. For others, please check-back later.
