MHS Academic Team Places 4th at NAQT Mississippi State Championships

Prewitt awarded second team

All-State Honors

The MHS Academic team competed at the NAQT Mississippi State Championships at Itawamba Agricultural High School in Fulton, MS on Saturday, April 21, 2018.

They finished in 4th, beating Brandon and Tupelo in the playoffs. Junior James Prewitt was awarded second-team all-state honors.

Flowers qualifies for Girls State Golf Tournament

Congratulations to Ta’Dashia Flowers for qualifying for the Girls State Golf Championship.

She won lowest medalist in the girls district tournament on April 23. Flowers, who is a 10th grader, will represent MHS in the State Tournament on April 30-May 1 at Sunkist Country Club in Biloxi, MS.

Robinson named Star Student and Altman named Star Teacher

Meridian High School Senior Audra Robinson was named a Star Student at the Mississippi Economic Council's 69th Annual Meeting held in Jackson, MS on April 12, 2018.

Mr. Antonio Altman, MHS Band Director, was also honored at the event receiving as recognition as a Star Teacher.
