Trusting and Transformation
Together they walked in and together they received the news that in 33 weeks they would become parents. They had known each other for just a few months. What, they asked, are we going to do?
What am I going to do? is, hands down, the most common question we hear at
Durango Pregnancy Center. Sometimes, sitting across from their anguished faces, we ask the same question!
Giving hope to our clients is the best gift we can give and how we give that gift looks differently for each person. The Hope, of course, is Jesus. But, in that moment of pleading, the full Gospel isn't what is needed but simply the Good News, God is with you. We are with you. You are loved. You are not alone.
On a recent mission ministry update for a church the question was posed, "What do you find the most encouraging in the ministry." Transformation! I have been a witness to lives transformed by trusting. Initially the trusting is quite small but over the weeks and months I am awed by the Holy Spirit transformation - unique and one of a kind - specifically designed to be understood by the recipient.
Witnessing transformation - it's what keeps me trusting in HIM!

P.S. The little one in the picture is one of our newest babies. Born 5 1/2 weeks early, an airlift transport to Denver was needed. Trust was needed at so many levels! But, this life is growing, healthy and off of oxygen! Thanks be to God!
