Rest! 7/24/16
Hebrews 4:9 (KJV)
9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
Hebrews 4:3 (KJV)
3 For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
There IS a place called "REST" for WE, the children of God!!!
Even GOD, HIMSELF, needed REST:

4 For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.
I sit here today and although today, (Sunday), is not Scriptural the Sabbath, I hope, PRAY, and intend to REST today!!
I AM TIRED!!
Although Amanda caused me a several wake-up calls last night, I SLEPT from 8:30 PM until 7: 15 AM today-almost 11 hours!!
PRAISE THE LORD-I do not ever remember getting that much sleep!!!!
It was a happy but bust week.
My two grandchildren of my son Bubba placed a visit with us Tuesday and Wednesday as I had a houseful of kids, grand kids, and one GREAT-grand kid!
Yesterday, I spent the day canning 32 quarts of fresh tomatoes-I AM TIRED!!
So tired I am NOT driving the 17 miles to visit my son Joshua today.
I am singing an original song by my old friend, James Owmby in my head and heart-the refrain goes like this:

REST YOUR FAITH IN THE ALMIGHTY ARMS OF GOD!!"
REST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am looking out my window at the bird and humming bird feeders my mother-in-law installed and I see an ARRAY of chipmunks, rabbits, squirrels and birds of all feathers happily feeding.
The day awaits all of us and the choice of how to live it!
Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, well knew the worth of REST:

31 And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.

Little Amanda is calling me to another day of life-my chipmunk is back happily eating bird seed and even a pigeon has joined the feeding frenzy-
