Lincoln Park Zoological Society: Run off those office party treats at the Holiday Lights 1&2 mile Walk/Run through Lights in Lincoln Park on Saturday, December 30, at 4:30pm. Pre-register online here. The Lights in Lincoln Park  drive-through   holiday light show is open now through December 29, Thursday/Friday/Saturday, 5:00 - 8:00pm. $5 per car. Open Christmas Eve and Day too!  Visit Santa every Friday before Christmas in Cabin 1 for cocoa and cookies. All proceeds benefit the zoo!
The Chamber of Manitowoc County: Career Expo 2018 is just around the corner! How would you like to present your career to over 1,000 local high school students at this popular event? We are still in need of speakers in the following fields: Arts, A/V Technology and Communications; Human Services; Hospitality, Tourism and Marketing; Information Technology; Law, Public Safety, Corrections and Security; STEM; and Transportation, Distribution and Logistics. City of Two Rivers:  Reserve a park shelter in Two Rivers for the 2018 season. You can choose from a wide variety of shelters. Please reserve early; shelters are reserved on a first come/first served basis. You can reserve a shelter online at www.activityreg.com with a credit card. Payment and deposit due at time of reservation. (If reserving online, deposit must be sent in the form of a check to the Parks and Recreation Department within five days of the reservation). Lester Public Library: Our cardmaking workshop is Monday, December 11, from 1:00 - 8:00pm. Cost is $7 for materials.  Bring double-stick tape and scissors. On Saturday, December 16, at 10:30am, we'll furnish the supplies and instruction to make aromatic, effervescent bath bombs. Also that Saturday at 2:30pm, learn the basics of computer coding at Hour of Code. Join our Book to Art Club: Pick up a copy of Fannie Flagg's A Redbird Christmas at the library's front desk, read it and meet at 6:00pm on Tuesday, December 19, to discuss the book and make ornaments inspired by it. We'll provide all supplies.

Lakeshore Humane Society (LHS): Sunday, December 10, is the 4th Annual LHS Furry Friends & Family Christmas Portraits from12:00 - 4:00pm. Manitowoc County Historical Society invites you to experience Christmas on the homefront during World War I with this year's "Pinecrest Christmas," on Saturday, December 9, from 11:00am - 3:00pm, at the Society's Pinecrest Historical Village (924 Pinecrest Rd., Manitowoc).  Various activities will take place throughout the day including Santa and his reindeer from 12:00 - 2:00pm. The Marine Band will also have chili for sale. Advocates enrich the community by providing crucial crisis intervention services to victims of sexual violence and their families; they also gain valuable, practical skills to benefit their professional and personal lives.The role of the advocate is to support the victim and to assist in the healing process. Qualified Staffing   has moved to the Manitowoc County Job Center, 3733 Dewey St., Manitowoc. Everything is the same except for the address. We did some remodeling to better fit our needs. Cheri Korinek, Branch Manager, feels this is a good move for the office. Everyone comes to the resources room at the Job Center to look for a job - we will be one door down from it. The bus comes around the building and there is plenty of parking. If you get to our end of town, please stop in to see the new office and say "hi".

Lakeshore Technical College (LTC):  It's not too late to start college this January!
