Mr. McLaughlin delivers his Tuesday Tidbits Update from the ALMOST finished entryway! |
Quick Links:
Dear Parents,
The annual STS parent directory will be completed by the week of October 3rd. Please contact
Mrs. Irons if you have any questions or would like to opt out. If you would like to place an ad in our directory please contact
Mrs. Schmank
We will be conducting a "Lock Down Drill" on Thursday, 10/6. The teachers and children will be notified in advance of the drill to eliminate any potential stress or anxiety.
We in need of a parent liaison to help coordinate our school's Junior Achievement activities. If you are interested in becoming involved in this worthwhile student program, please contact Mrs. Rutledge.
A reminder
school pictures are scheduled for tomorrow,
Wednesday, 9/21 and
Thursday, 9/22. Middle school students are asked to wear their traditional uniforms for their pictures.
St. Timothy Catholic School has once again purchased High School Placement Test (HSPT) review booklets for our 8th grade students. The books will be sent home today with the students.
As I mentioned in last week's Tuesday Tidbits, we are still working to finalize a deal with the Testmasters Program to provide all interested eighth grade students with an opportunity to participate in the Testmasters High School Placement Test (HSPT) review course at a special price.
The course is being offered to St. Timothy students at a discounted rate per student provided we can guarantee a minimum enrollment of ten or more students. We are currently not close to the minimum number. Please note that the discounted price is $400 less than the normal individual price per student. If you are interested in registering your child for this course, please contact
Mrs. Rutledge. Once we have finalized the pricing, we will contact our 8th grade parents with the details and work with Testmasters to register your child so that students can start working on the course the last week in September.
At this point, all parents of 3rd through 8th grade students should have received their Power School Parent Portal Access credentials from Mrs. Cowan and should be able to access their child(ren)'s grades. If you have any access questions please contact Mrs. Cowan.
Finally, I'd like to thank STS parent and business partner Mr. Paul Hunter for his extremely generous donation to our school. We are so blessed to have such supportive parents and business partners in our school family!
Thanks so much for your strong support of our amazing school. I greatly appreciate it!
God bless you,
Joseph M. McLaughlin,
Principal, Saint Timothy Catholic School

Afternoon Volunteers still needed for the Lions hearing and vision screening day. If you could help from 12:00-3:00pm it would be appreciated. Please let me know via
email.
CLINIC UPDATE: There have been many visits with complaints of headache and sore throat, no fever; some are allergy related. For those who have issues with seasonal allergies: It is definitely time for allergy medicine or nasal sprays if you have not started already.
I have also been notified of a few more cases of the stomach bug. Please follow the school policy and do not return children to school unless they have been free of symptoms for 24 hours. Some of the younger students have had fevers as well. If they are close to 100 in the morning, we ask that you keep them home to rest.
Thank you for the phone calls and emails to make me aware of illnesses.
Please take a few minutes to look through the Nurse Page under Parent Resources on St. Timothy website. There is a lot of good information. Have a Great week!
Thank you!
Mrs. Patrice Snowden, BSN, RN
