Dear Parents,

Here is a copy of Mr. Pryor's Monthly   Academic Newsletter . This month's newsletter focuses on "Giving Thanks!"

Next Monday, 12/5 is an STS Chick Fil A Night, all proceeds will go to our amazing Choral Competition Program (see details below). We hope to see you all there.

Saint Timothy School Christmas Ornaments are still available for purchase in the main office by order form or after Masses on Sunday. Ornaments are 15.00 dollars and make a wonderful addition to any Christmas Tree. All money goes to our school PTO fund.

This is a reminder that our  2nd Annual Hour of Code is scheduled for Thursday, December 8th from 3:30-4:30 p.m (in the STEM Lab). The program will be open to grades K-8 about 35 students. Please contact Ms. Lindsay Nash if you have any questions.

The NJHS is sponsoring a Krispy Kreme Donut sale   Friday,   December 2, 2016.   Pre-orders for the donuts are now being collected.  You have the option of buying one individual donut (to be distributed at lunch for 3rd to 8th grade students and delivered to the classroom for Kindergarten through 2nd grades) or one or more dozen donuts (to be delivered to your child's classroom). Order forms are available in the school office.

The High School Placement Test is scheduled for our eighth grade students on Thursday, December 1st. Good luck students!  Middle school parents are asked to please consult the middle school teacher websites for the mid-term exam schedule. Based on parent feedback, we have changed some of the test dates to better balance the schedule. Thanks so much for your patience and understanding as we implement this new middle school testing schedule.

St.Timothy School's 2nd annual Hour of Code is scheduled for Thursday, December 8th, from 3:30pm - 4:30pm (in the STEM Lab). The program is open to students in grades K-8. Here is the signup link for students and parent volunteers  https://hourofcode.com/us.

Next week Santa's Workshop will be in full operation, in the school library. Please consider helping out during your child's classroom time or any other spot during the day! We especially need help with the younger classrooms. Please contact Mrs. Pilon, if you are able to help.

The STS St. Bernadette and St. Matthew Advisories are sponsoring a toy drive for the Marine Corps Toys for Tots Program.  Donations of new, unwrapped toys will be accepted between November 27th to December 9th, 2016.  The donated toys can be dropped off in the designated box in the school lobby.

As always I welcome your comments, questions and suggestions. Thanks so much for your support of our amazing school, I greatly appreciate it!

God Bless You,

Clinic News

Clinic Issues: So far this week we have only had complaints of stomach ache/pain from students. Generally this last 1-2 days and comes and goes in intensity. Usually crackers or mint and a few minutes rest- gets them back to class. Should a student return multiple times I will call parents. The usual sore throats continue and I encourage fluids, rest and salt water gargle for relief. If your student requires cough drops or any over the counter medication, a medical authorization form should be completed and brought in with the medicine by the parent. Thank you for your emails to inform me of your child's illness and/or reason for absence. I truly appreciate it.  Have a great week!

God bless you!
Mrs. Patrice Snowden, BSN, RN
