Dear Parents,

I am extremely pleased to announce that we have filled the open Nurse position with two amazing credentialed nurses who will be job sharing; Mrs. Julianne Duffy and Mrs. Mary Anne Rogowski.

Mrs. Duffy  is a registered nurse, a former STS mom and has served as an STS first grade teacher (5 years) and High School nurse.  She also served as a Triage Call Nurse at the Tepeyac Family Center.   Mrs. Rogowski is a nurse practitioner with many years of nursing experience. She has also worked in our clinic supporting our students. We welcome them back to our school community and wish Mrs. Snowden continued success and God's blessings in her future endeavors.

Our annual  Science Fair is scheduled for tomorrow, Wed. 2/8. Our 7th and 8th grade students are asked to report to the gym by 6:15 pm and should be picked up at 8:30 pm.

The Science and Art Open House will be on Thursday, 2/9 from 7PM till 8:30 PM, all families are encouraged to attend.

Clinic Update:

nurses corner

Clinic Issues: We have had Cases of strep throat in Kindergarten and 4th grades. We continue to have students developing fevers >102 and cough/congestion.  Less cases of the stomach bug throughout. Please continue to notify the nurse office of any newly diagnosed illnesses. Thank you for your consideration.

I have accepted a new FT position at Novant Health in Manassas and this is my last week at St. Timothy.  I wanted to express what a pleasure it was caring for your children.  The staff here is exceptional and it shows in the students. They are very caring toward each other and always used their best manners in the nurse's office.  I will continue to keep St. Timothy in my daily prayers.  Thanks for everything.

God Bless,
Patrice Snowden BSN, RN

honesty

This February St. Timothy School will focus on the virtue of Honesty. This month faculty and staff will work with students to encourage and highlight their acts of integrity showing them how honesty and trustworthiness bring us closer to God. Our second grade students are beautiful examples of this virtue as they receive the sacrament of Reconciliation this month. Please keep them, and all of our St. Timothy school community, in your prayers as we honor our Lord with acts of truth and goodness this February.

Our Virtue Vine is growing with student names along the wall between the art room and the fifth grade. We invite you to visit it when you are at school.  Our students have been seen stopping by to look at the names of the their peers who exemplify the monthly virtue.
