The Chamber of Manitowoc County 's Safety, Health & Wellness Council is hosting "You're It Get Fit!," Manitowoc County's National Employee Health & Fitness Day on Wednesday, May 17. This challenge is a fun way to promote a healthy lifestyle by encouraging employees to engage in physical activity. Participating organizations must submit a brief evaluation upon completion of the event. Completed evaluation forms are entered in a prize drawing. The event is sponsored by Prevea Health. PINK HEALS Manitowoc County WI: The Adult Support Group is meeting Tuesday, May 16, 6:30pm, at Holy Family Memorial (Manitowoc Room - enter on the west side of the building). This group is open to women and men who are receiving treatment (no matter where you receive treatment), as well as survivors and caregivers. The YOUth Matters Support Group is held at the same time. Lakeshore Technical College (LTC) will be offering the opportunity to explore non-traditional occupation opportunities through free exploration classes. Landscaping for Women is a free 16-hour class that will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays starting May 15 from 4:00-8:00pm on the LTC Environmental Campus in Cleveland. Aurora Medical Center Manitowoc County presents "BEING MORTAL", a free screening and discussion of the PBS Frontline documentary based on the best-selling book by Dr. Atul Gawande.
