School District of Mishicot: Did you know that your child can attend the School District of Mishicot even if you don't live in the school district? Any Wisconsin resident in 4K to grade 12 may apply to attend a nonresident school district under the open enrollment program. The regular open enrollment application period for the 2018-19 school year is now open and ends at 4:00pm on April 30. The Haven of Manitowoc County  will be hosting the First Annual "Shamrocks for Shelter" on St. Patrick's Day. Lakeshore CAP, Incorporated:  Be a powerful voice in a child's life! Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA), a program of Lakeshore CAP, is accepting applications for the next training. CASA provides trained volunteers to advocate for abused and neglected children in Manitowoc County. CASA Advocates are citizens with a variety of professional, educational, and ethnic backgrounds. An Advocate must be at least 21 years of age, complete a background check and be able to give at least a 1-year commitment. Manitowoc County Historical Society (MCHS) and local restaurants have teamed up in March to support local history. On each Wednesday in March, one restaurant will pair with MCHS to donate a portion of that day's proceeds. Wisconsin Maritime Museum: Celebrate Cobia's 75th Birthday on Saturday, March 17, 9:00 - 5:00pm. The keel of USS Cobia was laid down on March 17, 1943, in Groton, CT.
