"Civics Hub" Workshop Offerings with Mary Ellen Daneels
Mary Ellen Daneels serves as the Lead Teacher mentor for the Robert R. McCormick Foundation, a National Board-Certified teacher and the Illinois recipient of the 2017 NEA Foundation Teaching with Excellence Award. She has been an advocate for civic education and served on the Board of Directors of the Nation Council of Social Studies was part of the task force to revise Illinois Social Studies standards. Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) Site-Based Offerings
Addressing SEL is essential to educating the whole child. Evidence indicates that promoting SEL produces positive student outcomes including improvement in pro-social behaviors and academic gains, as well as a reduction in conduct problems, anxiety and depressive symptoms. Social and Emotional Learning sessions offered through the DuPage ROE provide customized support to districts and schools addressing SEL system-wide. The Administrator Academy listing for the 2018 - 2019 school year is now available for review.  Unless noted, all Administrator Academies will take place at the Center for Professional Learning (CPL) located at 505 N. County Farm Road in Wheaton.

The Administrator Academy (AA) is a process by which local school administrators meet legislated requirements for continuous professional development.
Teacher In Service for DuPage Educators (TIDE) Fall sessions are now open. New cohorts include Reading, Early Childhood, LBS1 (Wheaton and Lisle locations), technology and ESL. Also available are two new Climate Change courses designed to build upon the understanding in the content area of ELA/SCIENCE/RESEARCH around Climate Change.
