The mission box this week supports the Alachua County Coalition against Human Trafficking. Their mission is to build a safety network of partnerships that will work together to identify, rescue, and restore victims of all forms of human trafficking within Alachua County.

Epiphany Service at Faith Mission
Catherine, Steve, and Pastor Mary Mitchell of Bartley Temple UMC will lead an Epiphany service at Faith Mission on January 8 at 5:30pm.  The service will include a re-dedication of the renovated copper cross on the exterior of the building and everyone is invited to attend. Overflow parking is available across the street at the Fearnside Center.
A Disciple's Path
(Wednesdays, January 18 - February 22,  6:30 - 7:30pm in 203/204). This 6 week Disciple's Path course, led by Catherine and Steve, will help you grow in your understanding of what it means to be a disciple and learn more about how to get plugged into the life of the church. Persons who complete the course and are ready to make a commitment will have an opportunity to join on March 5. All are welcome to participate in A Disciple's Path Membership Class. If you are already a Trinity Member who would like to participate in this study, class materials will be $15.  Register now!
New Book Study
Tuesday Morning Moms ( 9:30 - 11:30am, 203/204) will begin reading  Fervent: A Woman's Battle Plan to Serious, Specific and Strategic Prayer  by Priscilla Shirer on   January 10.  Books are $10 and will be available on January 8  or on the first day of class.  Childcare is available.

Join us for the next Parent's Night Out on January 6 from 5:30-8:30pm including dinner and activities. PNO is for children ages 12 months - 5th grade; cost is $12 per child with a $30 family cap. Please register and pay online by January 4. Questions? Contact Virginia Lewis (416.3014). CHEERS resumes on January 11 for 3 year olds through 5th graders. Registration is open for Dawning Doves (children who turned 3 by September 1, 2016), Pre-K children, and children who did not attend in the fall. If your child was registered for the fall, there is no need to register again.  Rejoice! with us as we share God's love through music and dance! We will meet on Wednesday afternoons beginning January 11 from 2 - 4pm in the Choir room (3rd floor Ed. Building), and will end with a performance on May 17, at 6:30pm in the Worship Center. Rejoice! is for children in grades K-5. We can't wait to Rejoice! with YOU! Register now! 
 
Now Hiring
We are hiring a part-time Parish Visitor to visit members, friends, and relatives of Trinity members who are dealing with illnesses or other health challenges. This person will also coordinate the visitation schedules of Care Team members in cooperation with the supervising pastor. More information can be found on our website.
Perspectives
Perspectives is a weekly discussion group beginning January 11 (Wednesdays, 6:30 - 8pm, O. Dean Martin Prayer Room). This group will explore current social justice issues in a supportive environment in order to consider the intersection of our faith and these issues in light of Scripture, tradition, experience, and reason so that we can better serve God and others; as well as to increase our ability to consider viewpoints in a spirit of humility and grace. A wide range of topics will be discussed in a small group setting, brief supplemental resources will be provided. Everyone is welcome to participate in the group. Christian love and sympathy is extended to Eric Mott and family on the passing of his mother, Eva Mock Mott, on December 21; Frances Myhre and family on the passing of her husband, Donald Myhre, Sr., on December 22; Mark and Kirk Wendelburg and families on the passing of their mother, Hazel Elizabeth Wendelburg, on December 22; and Norma Weseman and family on the passing of her sister, Donna Canova, on December 23.
