Mission Box
This week's mission box supports Mommy Reads, a ministry of the United Methodist Women. Every child likes to hear their mother read them a bedtime story, Mommy Reads allows mothers who are incarcerated to still do that. 4 times a year, the Mommy Reads group travels to the Lowell Correctional Institution for Women where they bring books, recorders, and MP3 players. During their visit 30 mothers/inmates read and record books which are then shipped to their children. Each visit costs at least $900. In addition to cash donations, gifts of new paperback books are always welcome. Lives are changed on both sides of the prison walls on each of these visits as these mothers are beyond grateful for this chance to connect with the children they miss. To be involved, or to find out more information, please contact Beth Haines (352-373-9469). (text 2 give keyword: mommy)

HS/MS Mission Trip Meetings: Get your forms and deposits in for ASP and Youth Works. There will be meetings for both trips on May 21 at 7:30pm in the Youth Bldg.

New Small Group (beginning May 10, 7:30pm, Youth Bldg): This small group is based on the insanely popular and very controversial show 13 Reasons Why; and will discuss the topics presented in the show in a safe environment while offering a Christ-centered lens to the series. Due to the nature of the show and the topics discussed, a waiver is required for anyone under the age of 18 to participate. There will be an alternate small group at the same time for those not participating in the 13RW group.
Trinity Community Conversations
The Trinity Church Council is hosting a series of "town hall" style events to provide ongoing and open dialogue between the general congregation and lay/staff leadership of the church. The next Trinity Community Conversation will be held May 15 at 6:30pm in the Worship Center with a focus on Faith Mission, other local Trinity missions, and Catherine and Steve will be sharing some thoughts regarding the United Methodist Church and what lies ahead for our denomination.  All members of the Trinity community are welcome and encouraged to attend. To prepare accordingly, we ask that you RSVP if you are planning on attending the Conversation. If you would like to submit a question ahead of time, there is an opportunity to do so on the registration form.

Children's Ministry
Don't miss out - all of our summer programs are still accepting registrations, but we are filling up fast!
Stepping Stones
Stepping Stones Preschool has celebrated their 40th anniversary "on the move" this year as we explored the wonderful world of transportation. We "fueled up" with the love of Jesus as we traveled from here to there. For our service project, we sponsored the Meals on Wheels program and held our first Trike-A-Thon, where we pedaled to raise over $1,000 to help those in need. We experienced every type of transportation imaginable from trains, to horses, to dump trucks. Our end of year celebration was an awesome night of fun and fellowship complete with a hot air balloon, helicopter, and a children's drive in theatre. We think both children and parents experienced the reality of God's movement right here at Stepping Stones.

As we conclude another wonderful school year, we praise God for the blessings He has bestowed upon us as educators and as a school. We pray Christ will continue to use our Christian preschool as a dwelling place for His Holy Spirit, and a facility for His love. We thank the congregation of TUMC for their support of this vibrant ministry!

During the summer, the school office will be open Tuesday - Thursday from 9am-1pm. Although we are at full capacity for next year, we would be happy to place you on the waiting list and answer any questions you may have. We are already anticipating a new school theme for next year...God's Wild Kingdom; where "every creature will praise the Lord." (both four legged and TWO!) We're wild for the Lord!
Christian love and sympathy is extended to
Grace Duffey and family on the passing of her husband, Paul Duffey on April 28.

If you would like to provide the altar flowers, please contact Bree
