We are so pleased to announce that the League of Women Voters of Metropolitan Tulsa has a new President,  Charity Marcus.

VIP Vote by Mail Volunteer Training 
Join us Saturday, September 10th for a community training event aiming to increase voter turnout.  VIP is starting a new Vote by Mail initiative and  we are looking for inspired volunteers to help register voters, sign voters up for Vote by Mail and help educate the community about resources for voting. Attendance is open and encouraged to all members of the community. If you plan on attending the event please register here
Unit Meetings & Hot Topic Lunches 
The Program Committee and its sub- units are busy as we head into the fall and election season. If you wish to attend one of our Unit Meetings details and any study materials may be found here.
In addition to Unit Meetings the Program Committee will also be hosting a series of "Hot Topic Lunches" in the coming months with discussions focusing on the State questions that will appear on the November ballot. You can find more information here and register to attend here

Mark Your Calendar: Nat'l. Voter Registration Day
National Voter Registration Day will take place on Tuesday, September 27th this year.  The League of Women Voters has signed up to be an official partner of National Voter Registration 
Day. We will be out in the community promoting our mission of creating educated and informed voters.  

Mark your calendars and contact the office if you would like to volunteer for the biggest collective day of voter registration in the nation!

Education Bond Policy Task Force
Education is a front burner issue in many states and Oklahoma is no exception. 

Didn't get a chance to attend the Consensus Meeting that was held on August 20th? Read all about it in this short  update.  The Education Bond Policy Task Force wishes to extend a special thanks to those who did attend, especially Mr. Cody Way, CFO or Jenks Public Schools.
