Suzie Fisk of Banner Elk was getting ready to leave her home to have surgery on both hands for carpal tunnel when she looked up and saw this beautiful buck staring into her window.

Suzie wrote on her Facebook page: "Look who showed up this morning to wish me well with my surgery?" Pat Sprigg wrote on Suzie's page: "This is just beautiful. you are very blessed that God sent him to look in on you. Feel better soon."

Suzie wrote after surgery: "Thanks to everyone for the prayers, cards, phone calls, get-well wishes. Surgery went very well and I haven't had to take any medicine at all for the last two days. Takes two hands to lift my coffee cup, but strength will come back before too long. Prayers work.

Suzie is an extraordinary flutist and here's hoping she will be able to perform at town hall on December 7th for Christmas In The Park as she does each year. at last year's Christmas In The Park at town hall
at Tate-Evans Park.

The late, great photographer Ansel Adams said that a photograph is made, not taken. I continue to be amazed
at Suzie's photo as it appears to be a painting complete with the distinct pastel tones that appear this time of year.
It's amazing that Suzie even saw the buck (photo at right) as it almost totally blends in. -Ron
