Turnkpike Bridge Closing Impact
January 22, 2017

This is a very important message from the Burlington Office of Emergency Management (OEM), which will impact our community tomorrow.

The following Nixle has been issued for our area:
The NJ / PA Turnpike Bridge will be closed indefinitely. Motorists headed to Pennsylvania will need to find an alternate crossing. Alternatives include Interstate 78, Interstate 295, Burlington-Bristol Bridge, Scudder's Falls Bridge, Tacony-Palmyra Bridge and the Betsy Ross Bridge. Expect major traffic congestion in the area of Route 130 and the Burlington-Bristol Bridge. Secondary routes will also be affected. Expect delays and plan accordingly.

Parents should be aware of this impact to our area and expect bus delays.  We are anticipating extremely high traffic congestion for our community.  Please be sure to give yourself extra time in the morning.  In addition to the traffic concerns, it is anticipated that our area will be experiencing a Nor'easter with excessive winds and rain. Please advise your student drivers to take extra precautions and allow extra time with the weather and additional traffic in our area.

We thank you in advance for your patience as we navigate through this situation and bus delays.

Please be safe tomorrow.
