The soul of Tuscan cuisine will be unveiled by Chef Donato Scotti for a special night of wine pairings
WHAT:
Donato Enoteca will host Winemaker/owner Jacopo di Battista of Querceto di Castellina Winery of Tuscany for a special night of feasting and fine wines. A region known for its award-winning wines and farm-to-table way of life, Tuscany will be the star of the night, featuring Querceto di Castellina wines including Chianti Classico "L'Aura", Riserva "Belvedere" and the highly sought after Super-Tuscan "Podalirio". Pairing each selection with regional cuisine for the evening, Executive Chef Donato Scotti will prepare a five-course dinner of specialties including Finocchiona, Baccala, Funghetti - traditional Tuscan salami, salt cod and pickled mushrooms; Pappardelle e Sugo di Fagiano - housemade pappardelle with "sugo" and Pecorino Toscano; Maiale e Fagioli all'Uccelletto - roasted pork shank with tomato braised Cannellini beans and Castagnaccio - rustic chestnut and raisin torte.
