Twenty Bayfield gardens will participate in Garden Tour weekend, June 2nd and 3rd

Garden lovers are in luck on Saturday, June 2nd and Sunday, June 3rd when twenty Bayfield area gardens will participate in a weekend of garden tours from 10:00am to 3:00pm each day.

On Saturday, visitors will have the opportunity to get up close and personal with the plants at nine of Bayfield's finest area gardens. Guests will see exquisite plant varieties on display, marvel at spectacular water features, and have opportunity to gather fresh design ideas. Many homeowners will be on hand to answer questions during the tour. Whether an amateur gardener or professional horticulturist, visitors are sure to enjoy these self-guided walking tours.

Bayfield also offers a Sunday driving tour for picturesque viewing. Nineteen notable Bayfield gardens are compiled on one map for a memorable afternoon car ride. Visitors can use the map to set a course up into the Apostle Highlands Golf Course for exceptional views of Lake Superior and the Apostle Islands, visit Bayfield's blooming orchards and farm stores, and drive through town to view the creative garden arrangements of Bayfield's finest green-thumbs.

Maps for these free, self-guided tours are available at the Bayfield Chamber and Visitor Bureau, 42 South Broad Street, or online at bayfield.org. Participating gardens will also be marked with roadside signs.
