2-hour delayed opening
Tuesday, January 9, 2018

Burlington Township Schools will be delayed 2 hours on
Tuesday, January 9, 2018.

Due to the predicted icy conditions and below freezing temperatures, all Burlington Township Schools will be operating on a 2 hour delayed opening schedule on Tuesday, January 9, 2018.

We are sending this information electronically tonight and will send phone calls around 5am.  This is different than what we have done in the past.  Out of respect for all families, waiting to make the decision leaves families wondering; making calls after 10pm could be disruptive to our families.  We are a reflective district and believe in transparency.  We are providing more information to our families than most districts and will add this as part of our protocol for the future.

Please remind student drivers to use extra caution.

Please drive safely and be cautious when driving near bus stops.

A delayed opening schedule means two hours later than the student's normal time.
**A.M. Pre-K students are to report two hours later than their normal time.   Their session will run from 11-1:30.
*P.M. Pre-K students are to report to school at their regular time.*
For safety and security, parents please do not drop students off at any of the schools earlier than the designated time.
Prime Time News
Before-school care (Primetime) is also on a two-hour delay.

Attention Middle School Parents
Students being dropped off should arrive not earlier than  9:20 A. M.  They should be dropped off at the side of the building. We cannot provide coverage for students prior to  9:20 A. M. nor can we guarantee that students will be able to enter the building prior to that time.

Please be sure that all sidewalks and bus stop areas are cleared of snow and ice and safe for our students.  Students should not be standing in the street while waiting for the bus.
