2-hour delayed opening

The Burlington Township Schools will be delayed 2 hours on Wednesday, March 15, 2017. 
 

Due to the inclement weather, all Burlington Township Schools will be operating on a 2 hour delayed opening schedule on
Wednesday, March 15, 2017. 


 

Afternoon Parent/Teacher conferences at Young School and Fountain Woods School are CANCELLED!  Both Young School and Fountain Woods School will have their regular afternoon dismissal times.   There will be NO EARLY Dismissal!

  

Lunches will be served in all schools.  


 

Please remind student drivers to use extra caution. 


Please drive safely and be cautious when driving near bus stops.

      A delayed opening schedule means two hours later than the student's normal time.  

  **A.M. Pre-K students are to report two hours later than their normal time.   Their session will run from 11-1:30.  
*P.M. Pre-K students are to report to school at their regular time.*

For safety and security, parents please do not drop students off at any of the schools earlier than the designated time.

Before-school care (Primetime) is also on a two-hour delay.

Attention Middle School Parents
Students being dropped off should arrive not earlier than  9:20 A. M.  They should be dropped off at the side of the building. We cannot provide coverage for students prior to  9:20 A. M. nor can we guarantee that students will be able to enter the building prior to that time.   

Please be sure that all sidewalks and bus stop areas are cleared of snow and ice and safe for our students.  Students should not be standing in the street while waiting for the bus. 


A REMINDER FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS
Burlington Township Ordinance 11:3-1 stipulates regulations regarding snow removal. Any owner, occupant, or tenant of premises abutting or bordering upon any street in Burlington Township, shall removal all snow and ice from the abutting sidewalks of such streets and from any fire hydrant located on the property, or in the case of ice, which is so frozen as to make removal impracticable, shall be thoroughly covered with sand or ashes, within twelve (12) hours of daylight after the same shall fall or be formed.

SNOW REGULATIONS
IF THE ACCUMULATION OF SNOW IS 4" OR MORE, all vehicles must be removed from the Township roadways and right of ways to provide easy access for removal. PLEASE ALLOW FOR STREETS TO BE PLOWED PRIOR TO OPENING DRIVEWAY APRONS.
 
Snow which accumulates on private property, shall NOT be thrown upon any street in the Township.
