During the 2016 Connecticut General Assembly, two new courses were mandated for physicians in order to renew their medical license: Mental Health Conditions Common to Veterans (falls under Behavioral Health) and Prescribing Controlled Substances and Pain Management (falls under Risk Management). Even though these two new courses can be substituted for already existing requirements,
ALL PHYSICIANS MUST TAKE A ONE-HOUR COURSE IN PRESCRIBING CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES AND PAIN MANAGEMENT AND A TWO-HOUR COURSE IN MENTAL HEALTH CONDITIONS COMMON TO VETERANS AND THEIR FAMILY MEMBERS.
FCMA has all six mandatory topics available, INCLUDING THE TWO NEWEST COURSES, for online viewing at www.fcma.org (go to Practice Solutions/FCMA Educational Library). Take only those courses that you may need. Once you have viewed the video(s), download the questionnaire(s), and return the completed questionnaire(s) with this order form. We will then send you your Certificate of Completion.
