Greetings!,
We have received two requests for support this week: 1) Support for Kim Rivera, conscientious objector and Iraq war resister; and 2) Support the National Day of Prayer for Chipotle to recognize the dignity and rights of farmworkers.
1) Support Kimberly Rivera, Conscientious Objector and
Iraq War resister
Kimberly Rivera, an Iraq War resister who had been in Canada since 2007, complied last week with an order of deportation from the Canadian government and is now at Fort Carson, CO. We're asking folks to send letters of support to Kim as she awaits more information on her fate.

2) National Day of Prayer for Chipotle to recognize the rights & dignity of farmworkers
This Friday, October 5, will be a National Day of Prayer for the Chipotle restaurant chain to recognize the rights and dignity of farmworkers. The Coalition of Immokalee Workers has been involved in a campaign to get Chipotle to join the Fair Food Program alongside other chains like McDonald's and Taco Bell. Denver-area religious leaders, where Chipotle has their headquarters, have called for this Friday to be a national day of prayer.
