History of Tournament. The Little Mo Tournament is named after Maureen "Little Mo" Connolly. She was the first woman to win the grand slam (winning all four majors in one calendar year) in 1953. Additionally, she is the only American to have achieved this feat, and the youngest, at just 18 years of age. The tournament is run and organized by the Maureen Connolly Brinker (MCB) Tennis Foundation. This is the 17th anniversary of the Road to the Little Mo Nationals and it is expected that over 1,500 youngsters will compete nationally.
