Tyler Young Ready for Rockingham NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Race This Weekend

 

Mooresville, N.C. - (April 11, 2013) Tyler Young will make his 2013  NASCAR Camping World Truck Series debut at the Rockingham Speedway in Rockingham, N.C. this Sunday, April 14th for the NC Education Lottery 200 presented by Cheerwine.

Tyler will be competing for the second time at Rockingham in his No. 6 Randco Industries/Young's Building Systems Chevy.  He made his series debut last year at this event, starting 26th and finishing 28th. He also raced at Kentucky, Bristol and Martinsville in 2012. 

"We're excited about running Rockingham this weekend," Tyler said.  "We had our teammate Devin Jones out last weekend at Martinsville and he did a really good job.  I feel like we've made some real gains as a team in the Truck Series and every time out we learn more and more.  We're looking at adding more races to our schedule this year and I'm really pumped to be starting it all off at Rockingham!"

Tyler will return to the CARS X-1R Pro Cup Series at Hickory Motor Speedway in Hickory, North Carolina on Saturday, April 20th to defend his win from 2012 in the Catawba Valley 250.

"The Pro Cup Series is beginning it's 17th year and they're paying $10,000 to win each race now," Tyler said. "We'll definitely be running as many of those races as we can when we're not racing in the Truck Series.  Hickory will be our first race with the car this year and I'm looking forward to trying to back up our win from last Spring."
