Thank you to all who participated in the first meeting of the new Knitting for Others ministry. It was a blessing to have Jamie O'Loughlin (UCC member and Friends of Boston's Homeless staff member) attend and explain how our knitted items will be shared with women who are homeless in Boston. For those of you who were unable to join us on Tuesday night, be on the lookout for monthly meeting dates starting in September. Our plan is to offer one day and one night meeting each month. If you want to start knitting over the summer, please contact Susan Holbrookor Gayle Edgarfor a copy of our handbook and other details.
Summer Sunday School is a multi-age class for children who have completed kindergarten – fifth grade, and takes place after the children are dismissed from the 9:30 worship service. Each class will begin with a short group prayer time and will focus on a service project, a Bible story lesson or a faith lesson based on a secular children’s book. There will be games and crafts too!
Look for the new STG card-making stations in Fellowship Hall and the Meeting Room during coffee hour. Let's continue to spread God's love by making encouraging cards for the women at Woods Mullen Shelter.
