Youth Choir Singing This Sunday

Come hear the Youth Choir sing "Better Place" at our 9:30 am service.
Heifer International

Our stewardship focus for UCC Children’s Ministries students during the month of October is Heifer International. Heifer International is a nonprofit organization that works with communities to end hunger and poverty and care for the earth.

Leading up to Heifer Sunday (October 22), we will include “Heifer Fact of the Week” with a picture or link to a video. It is our hope to familiarize you with the amazing work Heifer is doing.
Heifer Fact Of The Week
Passing on the Gift is the hallmark of Heifer International’s approach. It began with the concept that each farming family who received an animal gift, pass on the first female offspring to another family in need. Whether farmers are passing on animals or time and knowledge, the act of Passing on the Gift transforms recipients into donors and produces a profound sense of accomplishment.

"The First Two."

Parent Discussion: Navigating An Increasingly Digital Age With Kids
Wednesday, October 25
(Note Date Change)
From 7 - 8:30 pm
Join us to share your thoughts and experiences on what's working for your family and what challenges you're facing when it comes to technology. We recommend (but do not require) reading The Tech Wise Family , by Andy Crouch before our discussion. This book provides a guide for parents struggling to navigate an increasingly digital age with their children. Crouch seeks to answer the question of how to put technology in its proper place when it is easily obtainable, convenient, and everywhere. How can we use it without our families being overcome by it? Crouch offers 10 commitments that his family tries to live by (not always successfully, he admits). Contact Liz Lisciandra with questions or sign up here .
