UCLA Anderson 75 Years

This is a standing invitation for you to attend the monthly lunch meetings of the UCLA Anderson Orange County Business and Career Network, a series of lunch discussions highlighting interesting people and their stories.  It's a chance to get to know them better and learn at the same time. One of the key ways to build relationships with others is to learn about their experiences and interests.  All Orange County business professionals are invited; you don't have to be a UCLA MBA.

$10 includes sandwich, chips, cookie and a drink.  Attendees are on their own for parking which will cost $5 for 1 hour and 20 minutes.

Wei-Shine Chien Topic:  "High-Tech Manufacturing at Kingston"

Speaker:  Wei-Shine Chien, Manager of Plant Operations, Kingston Technology Company, Inc. 

 

Wei-Shine manages operations of Kingston's US production facility which accounts for $1.5 billion revenue per year and employs over 200 workers. He is responsible for monitoring productivity, manpower/machine allocation, process improvements and budgets for five production departments.

He is an operations expert with broad experience in all aspects of planning, procurement, production and quality control.  He has direct experience with supply chain strategy implementation, key component supplier negotiations, manufacturing operations and drafting quality control standards for OEM customers. He is a lean Six Sigma Black Belt with focus on productivity improvements and resource management.
