From Angus MacDonald (MA'93):

MONARCH THEATRE GUILD is premiering a new musical that I collaborated on with Dan Snellenbarger later this month.

"IN THE CHIPS!" is set in Silicon Valley, CA, the heart of the computer industry. SAMANTHA, an ambitious, idealistic, workaholic software creator and programmer  is hired by MicroLogic Inc. to program EUPHORIA 2016 the most powerful computer in history. The allegedly peaceful program is head by rogue Air Force Officer GENERAL MAJOR and his trusty sidekick MAX POWERS JR. aka Texter the Cybernerd.  Aided by two SPIRITS, SAMANTHA wises up to the GENERAL'S sinister plans and fights for control of the Supercomputer. The fate of planet earth hangs in the balance.

The CAST of five, three females and two males, sing live to the professionally recorded score. The musical opens on Friday April 29th and continues Fridays at 8PM and Sundays at 7 PM through Sunday, May 22 at Fanatic Salon Theater 3815 Sawtelle Blvd. (near the SW corner of Sawtelle and Venice Blvd.
