UCP/Harrisburg Senators Sports Auction to Raise Funds for Individuals with Disabilities

Hundreds of Items - Something for Every Fan!

Camp Hill, PA - June 13, 2016 -   The 30 th Annual UCP/Senators Sports Memorabilia Auction will be held Saturday, June 18, at the Carousel Pavilion  on City Island in Harrisburg. The event, sponsored by the Harrisburg Senators Baseball Club, has raised nearly $1.7 million to date, with proceeds benefiting UCP Central PA's programs and services for people with all types of disabilities and special needs across the mid-state.

 

Highlights of this year's event include:

  • Live Auction - Historically the biggest draw of the day, attracting fans and collectors from up and down the East Coast, this year's Live Auction features more than 100 items, across a broad cross-section of unique sports items and collectibles, including:
    • Cal Ripken, Baltimore Orioles, circa 1985 autographed, used game cleats
    • Honus Wagner, Pittsburgh Pirates, signed original check
    • Kobe Bryant, LA Lakers, autographed leather NBA basketball
    • Muhammad Ali autographed framed collage
    • Peyton Manning, Denver Broncos, autographed Super Bowl 50 full size helmet
    • Super Bowl program complete collection (games 1-50)
    • 1955 Pirates team autographed baseball with rookie Roberto Clemente
    • Chase Utley, Phillies, worn game jersey with MLB hologram
  • Silent Auction - The silent auction typically has something for everyone, from the youngest sports fan to the most mature aficionado. This year's silent auction has over 150 items, from pennants, signed photos, and mini-helmets... to NASCAR memorabilia, and themed bar signs and mirrors.

Admission to the Sports Auction is FREE and refreshments are available for purchase. Other points to note:

  • Event will be held RAIN OR SHINE!
  • Registration opens at 8:45am
  • Live auction begins at 10:00am
  • Silent auction runs from 8:45am to 11:30am
  • Accepted methods of payment are Visa/MC/AmEx/Discover, cash, or personal check w/ ID.

A selection of Live and Silent Auction items will be on display through Friday, June 17, at Strawberry Square in downtown Harrisburg (on the first floor, across from Best Friends Day Care and near Bagel Lovers Cafe).
