The Festival
At the heart of this year's summer to remember - with the Diamond Jubilee, World Pride and Olympics - UK Black Pride will take centre stage to celebrate the lives and experiences of African, Asian, Caribbean and Middle Eastern LGBT people as well as our friends and supporters. We will host another packed programme of music and live performance by well-known acts on a main stage and in dance tents. In recent years headline acts have included award-winning artists: Jessie J, Ms Dynamite, Beverly Knight and Duane Lamonte.
Alongside licensed bars, sumptuous world food, VIP tent, chill out zone, education / welfare workshops, community stalls, and children's area, the festival offers something for everyone.
An award-winning team from the Black and LGBT community (Pink Paper Readers' Award 2011 and Stonewall Community Award 2011) has run UK Black Pride on a voluntary basis since 2005. The event is now Europe's largest Pride celebration of African, Asian, Caribbean and Middle Eastern LGBT people and attracts thousands of visitors from around the world.
