Welcome to Your City @ Work, where you will find City of Dunedin highlights from the City Manager's office each month.

MESSAGE FROM THE CITY MANAGER
Welcome to the June edition of Your City @ Work, a monthly online newsletter. The purpose of this outreach is to keep you up to date on current issues, developments, projects and news in the City of Dunedin. Our goal is to keep you up to date on pending issues and actions before the City Commission so that you can participate in the decision making process. We hope you will find this form of communication educational and informative.

As you can see from the newsletter we have had a busy month. The City Commission, Boards and Committees and City Staff continue to work together to make Dunedin a delightful place to live, work and play. The City's Business Plan was recently developed to describe the essential elements that the City will implement for its multiple programs and projects next year. Kudos to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Department for clearing out the derelict boats in the Sound. I’m proud to announce that we’ve even had an award-winning month. Read on and you’ll find out all about it!

BUDGET & BUSINESS PLAN
The first Budget and Business Plan has been developed for the City of Dunedin. The Business Plan serves many important purposes; It communicates to the City Commission how staff will push their agenda forward over the coming year, bringing the City closer to attaining its EPIC! Goals, it tells residents how we will enhance our City services and perhaps most importantly, it enables City staff to understand how their work fits into the larger picture and contributes to the success of our City.

PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION
Mayor Julie Ward Bujalksi and City Manager Jennifer K. Bramley presented at the Public Service Commission workshop focusing on hurricane preparedness and restoration. Calling on Duke Energy for a stronger commitment to harden Dunedin’s current infrastructure and undergrounding the electrical infrastructure were some of the key points presented.

FUTURE OF THE REGION AWARD
The City of Dunedin received the Future of the Region award from Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council under Transportation and Mobility for the innovative Monroe Street Parking Garage.

Stormwater is the number one source of water pollution in our area. Storm drains lead directly to our waterways with no filters from our yards, driveways and homes. Remember, only rain down the drain. Never allow fertilizer, grass clippings, oil or pet waste to be washed into your storm drains. Learn more about the active ban on DTV.

On May 22, the new Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office North District Station officially opened. The new station is located at 2496 Bayshore Blvd (Corner of Bayshore Blvd and Curlew Rd). The North District Station services the cities of Dunedin, Oldsmar, Safety Harbor and the unincorporated areas of Pinellas County, north of Gulf to Bay Boulevard to the county line.
