PTA News: Thank you to Mary Foster and Brian Dino from Common Sense Media for presenting Raising Media-Smart Kids on Tuesday and to Pablo Rivera and parent volunteers for Art Night on Wednesday! The University Park Home Tour will be held on May 3, and we are looking for interesting, unique homes to feature. If you or someone you know has a great home, please contact [email protected]. Also, if you own or work for a business that might like to sponsor or advertise with this event, we would love to hear from you!

American Heart Association:
American Heart Association's fundraising event "Jump Rope for Heart" kicks off this week! A pledge envelope will be sent home in today's Thursday folder. Click here for the parent information letter. Students will receive their first prize once they turn in their duck coupon (worth a $5 donation). The duck prize will be available before school on the blacktop every morning next week (January 20-23). The following weeks leading up to the event, students can turn in their duck coupon in a marked envelope outside the Gym and will receive their prizes every Friday. The jump rope event will take place in PE classes February 18-20. Pledges can also be made online. To create you child's online account, click here. Let's beat last years raised amount of $9181! February 5th is PJ Day for University Park! In exchange for bringing canned food or a $1 donation, students can wear their PJs to school! The donations support Denver's Road Home. The UPark Student Council is facilitating and organizing the canned food drive leading the efforts to help end homelessness in our University Park community. We will be accepting canned food Monday, February 2-Friday, February 6th. Click here to see how UPark will support Denver's Road Home.
