The place where students are inspired, engaged, and having fun!
Are you passionate about the Neighborhood Center program here at UPark? If so, we are looking for volunteers for the newly formed Neighborhood Center Committee! With our growing and expanding program, we would like to reach out to you and ask for your input on the Neighborhood Center.
Our first meeting will take place on Saturday February 7th. This meeting will start 10:30am and end no later than 1:30pm in the UPark Library. Lunch provided! Your valuable input will help with the direction of our program and identify areas where the Neighborhood Center can expand further into the community. Here are the goals we will focus on during the meeting, and volunteers will receive supplemental information and an agenda for the meeting.
Goal 1: Increase understanding of a comprehensive Neighborhood Center
Goal 2: Based on the Neighborhood Center model, community needs and goals, prioritize University Park's Neighborhood Center expansion opportunities

Green Team News
The STUDENT GREEN TEAM asks you to change 1 thing because we care about our Earth.
Every Wednesday is now WASTE FREE Wednesday. Please do not send your child with plastic bags and wrappers that can't be reused. Please use reusable containers in your lunch, instead of baggies.
We are doing this so UPark families will put less trash in our world. When we put things in the garbage they go to the landfill or dump and make dangerous gases that hurt our air, our water and the Earth we live on. We care and we want you to, also.
Contact Ms. Cardenas to be involved.
Our next Student Green Team meeting is Thursday, January 22 at 12:00pm in room 116.
