Principal Update

I would like to welcome Holly Caouette (pictured) as one of our two new Mild/Moderate teachers starting next year!

Next year will be her fifth year teaching, fourth year as a special education teacher. She has been a teacher at Green Valley Elementary School in DPS for the past four years. She went to college at the University of Colorado (Go Buffs!) and received her masters in special education in 2012. She is a Colorado native who loves to hike and play in the Colorado sun!  We look forward to having Holly be a part of the UPark community!

I would like to say thank you to Sarah Vyrnios for her dedication to the students at UPark.  Sarah will be pursuing a career outside of education at the end of the school year and we wish her the best of luck.

PTA

Please see the minutes from last week's PTA meeting HERE Our next meeting will be Tuesday, April 7, and we are trying something different by combining our meeting with CSC.  This will be a good way to learn more about both the CSC and PTA!  The meeting will begin at 4:15 pm, and childcare will be provided.

We are looking for parents who want to become more involved next year by filling open positions in the PTA.  Volunteering with the PTA is fun and a great way to meet new people!  We need help with our three major fundraisers: Apple Campaign, Silent Auction, and Home Tour, as well as PTA Secretary, Vice President, and Co-treasurer.  Please contact Jen Frenkel (303-717-7566) for more information on these roles.

Silent Auction Update:

THANK YOU to the entire UPark Community for making the 2015 UPark Auction an all-around success!   100s of you supported the event (in so many ways) and the end result was a super fun way to raise over $43k for our school. Your donations, online shopping, ticket purchases, art project coordination, purchases at the live event, hosting of experiences and hours of volunteer time all contributed to its success! Thank you.
