Principal Update

Anna Kwan, our wonderful 5th grade teacher will be leaving her 5th grade position at the end of this school year.  We wish her luck and are very sad to see her go.  Sarah Nakashima (pictured) will be our new 5th grade team member.  Sarah currently runs the library at University Park Elementary School. Within this position, she instructs every student in library and information skills for 40 minutes each week. She catalogs and maintains the entire library collection. Sarah also currently coordinates the Scholastic Book Fairs for University Park.

Previously, she completed her student teaching at University Park Elementary in the third grade with Mindy Ostrom.  Sarah received a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Human Development with an endorsement in Elementary Education in December 2013 from Metropolitan State University of Denver.  She also received her Associates of Applied Science degree in Fashion Marketing/Design in 1995 from the Colorado Institute of Art.
