Field Day is Friday, May 29th
Events will run 9:30am-11:00am / 1:30pm-3:00pm at Observatory Park. Here are the details on Field Day LUNCH:
-
Students attend lunch at their regular time - click here for grade-level lunch times
-
Families are invited to join their students for a picnic-style lunch on the blacktop at the school - no lunch will be served in the lunchroom
-
Our lunch staff will offer an onsite Grill Meal for purchase, including grilled hamburgers, hot dogs, and veggie patties
-
Prices for lunch are as follows:
-
NO PAYMENT WILL BE TAKEN OUTSIDE - Families can pay inside at the office before heading to the blacktop for lunch. Students who typically purchase hot lunch may use their account number outside to pay for their meal only. Charges cannot be taken from their account to cover siblings or parents.
-
PLEASE RSVP to Jennifer Plesa by Tuesday, May 12th for ANYONE joining us for lunch (brown bag OR purchasing Grill Meal) - the RSVP ensures we have enough food for those planning to purchase a meal, and helps us plan the rest of the picnic logistics (compost, recycling, waste, etc.)
The Wellness Committee will host an end-of-day celebration with thirst-quenching watermelon from 3:00-3:45pm back on the school blacktop. Students who ordered yearbooks can also pick them up during the celebration and pass around for friends' signatures for a fun way to end the day!
Ready, willing, and able to help on Field Day?? We need help in 2 areas:
- Email Tracy Hartin to help with Field Day events
- Sign up here to cut watermelon, prep fruit and help with lunch
Remember tennis shoes, water bottles, and sunscreen! We hope to see you all on May 29th for a fun-filled field day.

Dishware Pick Up:
We absolutely appreciate all of the wonderful treats, gourmet dishes, and left overs that you bring to us. Now we want to remind you that many of you have left your dishes, crock-pots, plastic ware, trays, and serving utensils in our teacher's lounge. They have been washed and are patiently waiting for you on the counter in the teacher's lounge. They would like to be taken home as the teacher's lounge is already stocked with abandoned kitchen items from past years.
