Create a Parent Portal account now!

Over the summer, all UPark families must register for the 2016-17 school year. The easiest way to complete this registration is using our online tool: Parent Portal. If you do not already have a Parent Portal account, you can create one now using the instructions found here. You will need your student's DPS ID/Lunch Number to create the account. If you do not know this number, please contact the main office at 720-424-3410 (the UPark office closes on June 3rd). Parent Portal online registration for the 2016-17 school year begins July 18th and will be open until August 15th. Click here for the Parent Portal website.

If you have additional Parent Portal questions please contact the DPS Parent Portal team at 720-423-3163 or dps_portalteam@dpsk12.org.

Denver Public Schools (DPS) is proud to introduce Discovery Link - a new name for the official DPS afterschool program. Formerly known as Kaleidoscope Corner in some schools and Fit, Fun & Literacy in others, we have renamed the program to better reflect the linkage between the school day and the discovery that takes place in our programs out of school time, including before and after school and during the summer.

While DPS has many valued afterschool partners, there is only one district-run program: Discovery Link. Since Discovery Link is a DPS program run entirely by DPS staff, it is uniquely positioned to link the school day and the hours beyond seamlessly and strategically.

DPS' afterschool programs are built on a culture of discovery. Combining academic support, arts, athletics, leadership development, social emotional learning and much more, we create an environment that is enriching, engaging and fun!

There will be no changes to your program location or schedule in the year ahead as we officially launch our new name. Learn more at kaleidoscope.dpsk12.org.

Last week's students include: Rodion Khristoforov, Sophia Homburger, Ben Blackmun, Juliette Rusin, Liam Neuhalfen, Charles Davis, Zander Chao, Juliet Montanaro, Chloe Huffman, Madeleine Beal, Erion Muji, Egan Morgan-Rooks, Cooper Bullock, Sophia Cho, Kyra Hornung Standell, Charlie Gold, Jackson Trinen, Nola Lake, Luciana Salgado, Evan Carmichael, Angelina Holm, Austen Ford, Sorren Cochran, Jules Cohn, Melody Wang, Ivy Bieker.

Wizard Hats are given throughout UPark to celebrate students' good choices and positive behavior. We use a common vocabulary and teach Critical Thinking skills using the BrainWise curriculum.  Each week there is a random drawing of 2 students done by classroom teachers. These children are photographed and receive a token of our appreciation.
*At the end of each month we will be donating all clothing in the lost and found and anything left in the halls(all clothing will go into our little red school house in our parking lot).
