Thanks to all who attended our PTA meeting on Tuesday this week!  We will be posting the meeting minutes to the school website next week, so if you would like to review them, you will be able to find them here.

VOTE YES on 3A & 3B

At our PTA meeting this week, we heard from Anne Rowe, DPS School Board President (and our SE Denver School Board Representative) on why we should "Vote Yes on 3A & 3B", the 2016 DPS Bond and Mill Levy. If you would like more information on why you should support the 2016 Bond and Milly Levy, please read the 3A & 3B pamphlets (included below) explaining why DPS needs this funding and how DPS will use the money to improve our schools.

Our PTA is supporting the VOTE YES on 3A & 3B campaign, and we encourage every family at UPark to read these materials, and VOTE YES!  If you would like a yard sign for VOTE YES on 3A & 3B, please come get one in the front office.

Calling All Creative Parents!

Each year all the UPark grades join as one to create amazing class art projects. These masterpieces are then presented to the community and sold at our annual auction in the Spring. We are looking for ideas and parents to lead or facilitate these class projects. The possibilities are endless...painting, transforming a piece of furniture, a sculpture, a mosaic or any creative expression that the whole grade can do (approximately 75 kids).

If you have an idea, a special talent, artful expression, want to lead a class or possibly the whole effort,  email Dana O'Connor at [email protected].

Wizard Hats are given throughout UPark to celebrate students' good choices and positive behavior. We use a common vocabulary and teach Critical Thinking skills using the BrainWise curriculum.  Each week there is a random drawing of 2 students done by classroom teachers. These children are photographed and receive a token of our appreciation.
*At the end of each month we will be donating all clothing in the lost and found and anything left in the halls(all clothing will go into our little red school house in our parking lot).
